Church Services

Please check the church notice board or parish magazine to confirm service times.

We usually have a service at 11 am on Sundays. These alternate between:

The Holy Eucharist (Common Worship) on 1st and 3rd Sundays
Morning Worship (Common Worship) on 2nd and 4th Sundays
on the Fifth Sunday a service takes place at one of the churches in the Benefice at 10 am.

It is also possible to find the most up-to-date information about Sunday services on the Benefice calendar at www.southcreake.org

Churchyard

The churchyard needs to be brought in line with diocesan regulations. A full copy of the regulations is available for consultation on the notice board inside the church and a summary is on display in the church porch. In brief these regulations state that:

Bulbs and small annual plants may be planted in the soil of a grave being within the area previously excavated. Plants or flowers may be placed in a removable sunken container (preferably of unpolished aluminium)..

Wreaths or cut flowers may be laid direct on any grave or in any vase authorised by the regulations. Where a vase incorporated into the headstone has ceased to be used, the PCC may insert a matching core…

No artificial flowers (other than “silk” flowers i.e. having a mixture of polyester/cotton) may be placed in the churchyard..Otherwise than as stated above no object or other thing may be placed upon or near a grave…

The PCC has agreed that after the end of April anything not permitted by the diocesan regulations will be removed.
